Episode 10: How to Keep Choosing Forward with jacqueline raposo
I’m starting to realize that there will never be a perfect interview. Jacqueline is a prime example of a guest I wish I had had so much more time with! There is so much more I want to share about her. She is one of those actually endlessly fascinating people, in my opinion, and every conversation we have leaves me richer. I’m already plotting to have her back so I can address her amazing book, The Me Without, and literally anything else she likes.
Jacqueline is a fierce creative, and a Professional Sick Person, who was kind enough to share her perspective as a human who lives at the intersection of sick and well, during a pandemic that has hobbled the world and shows no sign of stopping. She has authored a book (so far), countless articles, produced and hosted podcasts, and brings a wealth of knowledge from her experience living in an inaccessible world as a chronically ill single human.

If you haven’t yet, do yourself a favor and visit Jacqueline’s website: www.jacquelineraposo.com
I linked it above, but here’s another link to buy her book, The Me Without - this is a great time to read about all that can be learned when we take the time to slow down, stop scrolling through all the noise, and just ARE. Incredibly healing to know that I am not alone in my struggle to treat myself well.
Jacqueline has so many interesting articles and projects to explore, but when we met she was working on Service: Veteran Stories of Hunger & War. It not only peels back the curtain of our recent history, but also shares the true accounts of a dying generation. There are also educational resources! This is amazing to me, and such a testament to who Jacqueline is, and who her work serves.

Athletic Greens are a powder supplement that Jacqueline recommended to me, and which I am now completely dependent on. They have aided in my battle with sugar, have helped me to start to create a morning routine, and are so complete you really wouldn’t need much else if you are what the American Medical Industrial Complex calls “healthy.”
