BFA/Conservatory
As someone who spent her fours years of college rolling around barefoot on the floor huhhhh-muhhh-muhh-muuuuuhhhhhh-ing, I have real deep love for conservatory training. My time teaching for Point Park University’s prestigious Conservatory gave me tried and true methods for engaging young people immersed in their artistic development, and allowed me to understand the unique challenges facing the next generation of student artists. I have created courses, devised theatre works, provided mentorship, staged showcases and much more.
BA/Liberal Arts
As the head of Voice & Movement for the University of Pittsburgh’s Theatre Arts Department, I was fortunate to learn as much as I taught. These rigorous students helped me to articulate my teaching philosophy, and were inspiring in their willingness to explore. When we work from a place of personal integrity, our storytelling is actually limitless. The rigors of academic study can be so nicely balanced, supported and managed through theater practicum, and I find great satisfaction in partnering with these programs and their students.
